Mrs Shyamal Sangvikar was a visiting faculty for sociology at SNDT Women’s University. She had experience of approximately 45 years wherein she was associated with universities as a lecturer and even as a university department head.

Throughout her career, she was involved in manpower development programs, participated in radio talk talks and even conducted interviews on television. She had extensive international experience and visited several universities in Canada and the UK at universities such as the University of Toronto, McGill University, University of London, University of Bristol and more.
